In september, thanks to good excursion between day and night, we reached extremely elegant parfums. A great vintage to remember.

Climate conditions: A vintage pretty unusual for Brunello, with a hot winter compared to local average temperatures and a lot of snow at the end of the season that put to the test buds risking frosts. After a constant spring temperature, vines suffered a hot and dry summertime without rains until august, reacting thanks to water reserves of february snowfalls. After a hot late august and good temperature excursions between day and night, the harvest was in time in september.

Climate conditions: A perfect climate with a snowy and rainy winter waters the ground deeper. Thanks to that, vines didn’t suffer a dry july, while in august had difficulties to start veraison caused by no water stress. After  september characterized by important tempratures excursions higher then 10°C between day and night, grapes were ripe while still in vegetation. We got very higher quality grapes, perfectly ripe with absolute values not easy to find in Sangiovese varietal. A great vintage to remember.

Fortunately at the end of may and beginning of june we had rainfalls that helped the vines. Later, after a dry and hot july, temperatures in august were lower compared the average with rains that brought to a regular development of the vines.

Climate conditions: Throughout the whole period of the development of the vine – from April to the end of August – the weather was excellent. It was marked by alternating rain and sunshine, in exactly the right moments for the needs of the vineyards. The persisting Spring showers brought about a considerable accumulation of water in the land and this reserve helped the plants overcome the summer heat. July and August were hot and sunny but there were days of cooler temperatures and even some rain. The benefits of the balanced weather of the year 2004 were added to the characteristics of the soil and the geographic position of the territory.

750 ml – 2.666 bottles

Climate conditions:  The winter of 2001 showed a lot of rainfalls and therefore a lot of water was stored in summer. On 14th April, the weather was cold with snow, the temperature decreased to –4 C°. Especially the vineyards in lower altitude were affected by damages to the early budding. The weather conditions in the summer period in Montalcino were within the norm. Due to the water storage in the winter/spring period, the development of the vineyards was good. The late cold in April influenced slightly the vegetation and the ripening. In the beginning of September, the grapes had already a good ripening, but the acidity decreased and the polyphenols could be extracted later. The harvest started late compared to the past years.
